how to make mashed potatoes

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 kg potatoes floury 
  • 50 g of butter 
  • 25 cl of milk 
  • 2 pinches of nutmeg 
  • salt 
  • pepper


PREPARATION 
  1. Wash the potatoes and cook in a large volume of water. 
  2. Allow 30 to 35 minutes after boiling, prick the potatoes with a knife, their heart is tender and melting. 
  3. Peel the potatoes still warm earth. Cut the potatoes into chunks and pass through a food mill fine grid. 
  4. Stir hot milk to the purée, stirring until it is absorbed.
